Method #2: Use Landline Number
Similar to above method, instead of using fake number or mobile number, you can use your landline number as well for using Whatsapp. However, make sure that you have a hand to landline number.
#1: Install Whatsapp in your device and enter landline number
#2: SMS verification will not work, because it is a landline number. So, tap on Call me button
#3: Enter verification code in field that you will hear from verification call

This method is not tested by me, but you can find this trick on various blog. According to this method, you can easily spoof Whatsapp verification using spoof application in your device.
#1: Install Fake-a-message app for iOS or Spoof Text app for Android devices
#2: Send an SMS stating your email address from your number to +447900347295
#3: Now, you will receive verification code for WhatsApp
#4: Use that code to use WhatsApp without SIM
